The Facebook Pixel Helper is a great tool that helps you find out if your pixel is working correctly. It’s a Chrome plugin you can use to see if there’s a Facebook pixel installed on a Coolix video and understand what data is being sent to Facebook.
The Facebook Pixel Helper is essential to get the content_category & content_name parameters you’ll need later when creating a custom audience out of your interactive video.
Install the Pixel Helper
Before getting started, you’ll need to have the Chrome web browser. If you don’t have it yet, install the Chrome browser then follow these steps:
- Go to the Chrome web store and search for the Facebook Pixel Helper.
- Click + Add to Chrome.
- Click Add extension.
- Once you’ve successfully installed the extension you’ll see a notification that the plugin has been added to Chrome and a small icon will show in your address bar.
- If you already added a Pixel ID to your Coolix video, go ahead and preview it to verify that everything works.
(Note: make sure you re-published the video after adding a Pixel ID, and cleared your browser cache).
- If everything goes well, you should see a green checkmark and all tracked events on the Facebook Pixel Helper – with the corresponding Pixel ID.
